the mission

Thai Leisure Group has entered into a partnership with Thai Children’s Trust and our aim is to raise £50,000 to help children in Thailand who are affected by poverty and hardship. The great news is that we are already well on our way...

The money we raise will go towards food and shelter for children who have been left orphaned, abandoned by their parents or have fled a life of fear or hunger.

The great news is that we already have £4,463 towards our target because we donated £1 for every visitor to our Thaikhun and Chaophraya restaurants on Mother’s Day.

the events
1st April 2016 - 31st December 2016

We'll be donating 5p to Thai Children's Trust for every single portion of Jasmine Rice that we sell in our restaurants.

Sunday 17th April

We'll be celebrating Songkran Thai New Year in Liverpool and we’ll be using collecting buckets to collect as much cash as we can.

Saturday 23rd April

A group of us will be hiking up Snowdon - you can join the party and the fun by donating £20 to our fund.

Monday 24th April

Christian Hall, our intrepid Finance Director, will be running the London Marathon on 24th April and you can sponsor him by going to this link - you can donate as little as £1!

From the 1st May to Mid-October

A static exercise bike will spend a little bit of time in each of our restaurants and we hope that every single employee (and some customers too) will ride this bike for at least 1 mile (whilst making a donation of £1 per mile to Thai Children’s Trust) - we need to do 7,822 miles on the bike because that is the distance by road from Leeds to Bangkok. When we get to Bangkok (so to speak) we will have raised a crucial £7,822 towards Thai Children’s Trust.

13th September

To complete our activities, we’re doing three restaurant-to-restaurant regional cycle rides as follows: Thaikhun Oxford to Thaikhun Cambridge (90 miles); Chaophraya Glasgow to Chaophraya Edinburgh (60 miles); Chaophraya Leeds to Chaophraya Manchester (60 miles).

Leicester City Football Auction

We have a signed Leicester City Football shirt for auction! All money raised will go to the Thai Children's Trust.

Thai Children’s Trust is the largest UK charity focusing on Thailand. The charity provides vital support to a number projects helping children affected by poverty, hardship and vulnerable circumstances in places such as Pattaya, Rayong, Nog Khai, as well as the south and west of the country. Although Thailand is not poor stricken country, there are many young people who live in desperate hunger, struggling to cope with the daily shortcomings they face.

Our aim is to raise £50,000 for the Thai Children’s Trust, in order for them to help children in Thailand who are affected by poverty and hardship. The money we raise will go towards food and shelter for children who have been left orphaned, abandoned and have fled a life of fear or desperation.

Together we can help provide them with a brighter future.
